A new round of funding is now on offer for groups who provide welfare to the ex-service community, Nationals Member for Eastern Region Peter Hall said today.
“Applications for the 2010-2011 Victorian Veterans Council Grants program are now open and offer amounts of up to $50,000,” Mr Hall said.
“Any Victorian ex-service organisation, local council or not-for-profit community organisation can apply for funding.”
Mr Hall said the funding flowed through two streams, with the Anzac Day Proceeds fund being available to organisations whose principal aim was to provide welfare support to veterans.
The Victorian Veterans Fund provides money for organisations running projects which honour or commemorate the service and sacrifice of veterans, informed Victorians about service history or assisted with the education of veterans’ dependents.
